APOSTOL was born in a small village in the Peloponnese. He graduated in Business but spent most of his time in art studios and the pop scene of New York in the 70’s. His heart always was in sculpture and painting.
When he came back to Greece he opened his first gallery in the Athens Hilton Hotel and slowly started selling his sculptures to an international clientele always keeping a low profile and exhibiting his work in a very modest way. It did not take long until other galleries in Europe and the United States requested to exhibit his sculptures.
APOSTOL is an exceptional master of creating crystal, aluminum and bronze sculptures. The use of these materials is certainly not without meaning. APOSTOL draws his inspiration from the sea, nature and music. “For me, art is feelings, emotions, symbols” and these materials represent our path through life.”
